I have had problem with nero making backups of my dvds. The driver burns perfectly the first time after installing, but after that, it burns but i cannot watch the movie in any dvd player. I know the drive works because i can still making data dvd with roxio. But i love nero, i dont want to switch to roxio. What could be happening guys???

Try backing up Roxio Write down your serial # and uninstal roxio, defrag, reboot and see if that fix it. From personal experience Roxio doesn't work to well with very many burning programs. I deleted it and never had a problem since and the bad part it was WMP that had the roxio burn engine that conflicted. So try that and hopefully it works for you.

i too also have a probem with nero (v.6.6.0.16), whenever i try to fully erase whats on my dvd+rw it goes over the elaspse time and never damn stops, i eventually have to end the process using task manager.
Is there anything i can do?
Im thinking im going to have to dowlnload a software program specifically to erase the dvd+rw.

Thanks in advance for any replies, appreciate the help...

the version of Nero i have is currently the latest version, i've also downloaded the update your referring and i also have INCD although i will need to do a test to see if i still have that problem. im not too entirely sure if i checked to see if it worked, at the time, when i downloaded INCD.

If you dont mind i'll need to get back to you...

InCD is known to cause problems with burning using Nero, it is not recommended to have it installed if you are planning to burn DVD's. Check out the many threads in the Nero Forum to see how many problems people have with this program installed.

Hi guys im having problems with Nero too.

I have made a couple of backup copies of my dvds and it worked just fine.

I did a clean install of windows and reinstalled Nero 6 Suite
I made a data disk which burnt off fine.

I tried to backup another one of my dvds but right at the end of the burning process it came up with this error
Unable to burn project
Drive doesnt support changing booktype for DVD-R

So I removed Nero and reinstalled it and tried again

This time it came up with this error

NeroVision - Application Error - The instruction at
"0x00615a12" referenced memory at "0x010c56a8". The memory could not be "read".

Any Help on this problem would be most appreciated

InCD is horrid, hence why it's so often recommended to be got rid of.
