PSP 2.0 formware - where?

Hi guys, new poster here and already asking for help.

I had a 1.5 PSP and put the Madden 2006 disk in. It said I had to upgrade to 1.52 to play. No problem I thought, I can run UMD 0.8 and flash the mem stick. I set it up with both F0 and F1 enabled but it upgraded the firmware anyway.

Now, I have the downgrader from 2.0 to 1.5 but this requires me to upgrade to 2.0. Of course Sony have released 2.0.1 which makes this obsolete.

Post has been edited because I have found the Jap 2.0 firmware but now I need help running the upgrade (I know, sounds stupid).

I copied it to the upgrade directory on the memory stick, went to memory stick under games and selected the upgrade option. The PSP runs the software, taking me to a screen with an x and an o. There is nothing else. If I press x I get a > in the right of the screen. I can scroll to three pages. o brings up two lines that look like the quit dialog (no text). I can move left or right here. Left+x will reboot with no effect, o just returns me to the blank screen.

Can anyone walk me through what I need to do to upgrade?
