Update to 2.50!!
No really! Update to 2.50. Why? Well for startes no ones likey to waste there time on PSP v2.01. And not without good reasion. v2.01 was a quick and lowdown dirty fix by $0NY to cloose the Loophole in v2.0, useing the Overflow Error in order to downgrade. So other then that, there was NO BIG CHANGE MADE TO v2.01.
V2.5 Has some new possibly hexpl01table Code in it. Who knows?! But, given that this Firmware has some remoatly usely stuff in it, even if you do have to buy a fraking $400.00(USD), Device to make use of it. Granted if $0NY is even leagly able to sell it to your reagion, is antother question. But hay it's still a new feature!
Besides unlike v2.01, v2.5 is the now current version. But, at this point I'd be happy for a simple and real v2.0 Hack (i.e. Hombrews' and Browsers'!),...
EDIT: To the OP:
Did you say you had a PSP v1.52? I take it your either in the EU or in OZ right? If so, why hasn't it occurred to you to just use that shiny new UMD Demo Disc, that came with your PSP. If your PSP Value Pack was anything like the One I got. The very first thing you should've seen was a BIG WARRING Flyer telling you to update to PSP v2.0!
Which no one here in there right (or worng), Minds would have dreamt of doing, given the then hype of a WAB Downgrader for PSP v1.5x. Which never paned out as we all should know by now!!
If you need to update a 1.5x in Europe or Downunder, ALWAYS USE THE ENCLOSED UMD Demo Disc. As $0NY are no longer offering a PSP v2.0 Download on there Website www.yourpsp.com anylonger. Not to mention, the mention of any direct lint to any Firmware(s), beit v2.0, v2.01 or v2.5...
