Difference with the White PSP?

Hi

Just having a heated debate wih a friend whether the White PSP is just the same as the black PSP's thats been released.

My point is that its just only a differnce in color and thats it. His point is that its a special jap edition that only allows jap region movies and games... which i really think is a bunch of bollocks because it really boils down to the firmware installed

anyone know about this?

Basically the difference is only their colour. But as you said, white psp is only sold in Japan. Games don't have region encoding, so all games work. But movies must be region code 2 to work. If you live in europe there's no worry, since europe uses region code 2.

That's not true! Not wholely anyways.

The White PSP has a better designed Buttons namely the '[]' Square Button then the origianl Black PSP's. which have been reportedly known to fail after a priode of time and use.

Other then that. No there was no real massive Hardware improvement, Like maeing a freaking TFT Panal that actually WORKS 100%, or something!

So like I said, no difference :p I haven't seen any sticky square buttons so far, and I have v1.0 myself (updated to 2.0).

The Change was dcoumented and you couldn't see it anyhow as that change happend under the Button. So yes there is a difference, albeit a slight difference. Is it worth b*tching about? No probably not....
