I have made several DVD's using my DVD Recorder, copying old VHS tapes. Now I would like to be able to put some of these on to the hard drive of my computer, but I can only get to the point of having the TS folder on the HD. How do I pull the files from the TS folder, both audio and video and make them viewable. Hope this question makes sense and is inthe right place, if not let me know. Thanks a bunch

Search this website as they have a free software download for a DVD ripper which basically allows the user to extract these files to the HD on your PC which you can then edit, compress video and create DVD's. I forgot the name, but try going to the home page and click on "Software."

If knowledge is power then why do I so feel powerless

You need a PC-based DVD player like PowerDVD or WinDVD. There are some free ones and shareware too from download.con or tucows.com. They will play the TS_VIDEO folder just as if you had the DVD in the drive.

Thanks will work on that, but I am not as interested in being able to watch them on the computer as I am in findidng a way to convert that file to be able to burn onto a CD/R disk or even onto another DVD disk. These are all homemade videos that I am putting on to disks and thought the procedure could be speeded up a little if I could be making additional copies on the computer while using the DVD Recorder to work on more tapes. Thanks for the help so far
