i was wondering, how to know what firmware you need for psp isos, cause they dont come with anything that say, can anyone help me determine, cuase i think i need to trick my version to 2.00 for playing nba 06

If it asks you for an update then you need a version that is higher than the one you have. You can either do this by inserting an older UMD that doesnt ask you for an update and switch it out (swaptrick) with the newer umd when the sony white screen apears at the beggining of starting a game. Or you can search Google and get the proggy called no UMD update starter also I have this if you can get ahold of me Goodluck

I haven't had to try this myself yet. I'm using UMD Emulator V0.8C

With that can't you just put the 2.1 firmware file in the ROOT\F0 folder and set the F0 option to yes before starting any game that requires a newer firmware to spoof the game/system into thinking you're running that firmware version.

I think I heard Dynasty Warriors requires 1.52. I might give that a try as a test.

Dunno, I belive (if i'm correct) he is talking about an actually UMD not the .iso file. When you put the UMD in it will tell you to update. (if this is what you are talking about also) Then you can either just do the swap trick or download the program i listed above if anyone needs it once again I have it available.
