Hi all my brother works for sony and his played on the ps3 and all he said was its not all that good

How do you know ur brother played the PS3 have u seen him? and PS3 doesnt come out till 2006 so it could change before it comes out.

I for one believe, godden16. Before anyone makes a wiseass joke about me being guilible consider the following:
1) PS3 is supposed to come out in spring of 2006 which means it's already in mass production now. And from what I see, other than the new bluetooth tech, portable media and blueray media there really isn't much of a spec change. I'm not impressed by what I'm seeing either. http://www.us.playstation.com/PressReleases.aspx?id=279
2) PS3 has been in development during the last 3 years. They are in the final stages of testing the console now as well as finding ways to market it. If godden16's brother is in strategic sales planning, he was probably testing out the console to find out how and where to sell it. So if he and his colleagues find that there is no market for massive sales in NA, guess what it's not going to be sold in NA.
3) Because the console has been in development for so many years they will not drastically change the console in the last couple months. Research and design is a long process, it takes hundreds of people years to come up with something like this.
Next time you want to make fun of anyone else, do your research first!! godden16's gone out of his way to justify his claims which is apparently more than any of you have done.

Just like Glitched said, If his brother worked for sony he would have a lot of things, and I dont know why the guy (whoever he is that said his brother works at sony) doesn't have anything. WHy waste time here when his brother basically knows everythings, and if he has a PS2 (which I think he does, probably with a chip), then why do you have a chip for? Just because his brother works for Sony (not sure if he does)doesn't mean that his whole family's rich. It's jsut strategic sales. Probably 50k a year, decent but not overly rich. I mean I got 3 docs in my family but I'm dirt poor. You think jsut b/;c some one works for a big Co it doesn't mean they rich. Not all jobs pay the same.

I guess you're right. But I when someone says strategic sales it makes me think if sales, which is as low on the white collar scale as you can possibly go before qualifying as blue collar. Just because you have your hands on some business secrets doesn't mean you earn lots of money, anyone who's actually worked in a company or corporation will knows this. Look at EA game designers, they design as well as play out the games they design numerous times before it even goes into mass production. But they are still treated like crap, paid low salaries, endless overtime without adequate compensation and some don't even get their names mentioned in the credits.
Maybe godden16 haven't gone all the way out to justify his claims but at least he bothered to ask his bro, the name of his position. And in honest truth just how many people are actually in such good terms with their big brother that they can talk about everything including the secrets of their work? Not to mention this one usually meant they are bound by contract and thus by law, not to mention them to anyone including family and friends? So then how much is adequate proof for, you guys? Loss of his job? Written statement by Sony?
Honest or not, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and should not be ridiculed and teased for them. If you think he's lying, then walk away and ignore it. In my opinion this is nothing more than some bullies picking on someone, be it online or offline.
For some people like glueeater, I apologize if you feel offended but please understand most of my claims aren't aimed at you but at everyone else. In fact, I thank you for being the only other person here who has a functional brain around here.
