Hello:
I too and many others have encountered this problem as well. However I have found out that if you install any of these versions of later Nero. version 14- 16. After you install Nero 7, this will somehow enable the music, and the burning Rom feature to work. So any previeous install of a newer Nero along with Nero 7 will stabilize the App for use.........

Nero 7 Premium/Ultra Edition - Error Fix
At some systems (especially on WinXP SP2), Nero Express will cause Nero Burning ROM crash.
If you experience of it, delete regkey
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\BCGWorkspace\BCGControlBarVersion]
to fix problem.
or.. copy-paste the following reginfo onto Notepad, save as .reg file, and run it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\BCGWorkspace\BCGControlBarVersion]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
or.. download the attachment and run it, this is the easiest way.

Baldbear, for me life's worth living again since you posted your fix for Nero Burning ROM for Nero V7. I downloaded the attachment, merged it and held my breath. Fired up Nero V7 smart start, clicked on Nero Burning ROM and presto, up it popped; no crash/send info message. Thanks a bunch!

It does work but when I use nero express again, the problem comes back with burningrom. The registry edit solution works only as long as Nero express is not activate.

Try this,go into your programs folder, click on Nero, then nero7, then click on the core folder, then right click the Nero burn icon, then left click on properties, next click on compatibility and where it say's compatibility mode check the box and set it to windows 2000 and then press apply.
Hope this works
