Is there an external BenQ of the Internal 1640 specs. yet??

I have been reading a lot about the BenQ 1640 and wondered if anyone knows if there is an external model available yet as all that are on the stores here in Canada are the 162I external 16X Dual Layer models and I have not had great success stories with this model.
I would appreciate comments, thankyou.

It seems that in all the forums that I participate in that everyone seems to be pleased with the 1640 performance and hence the query.

My boss has ordered this drive on Monday. When we get it in I will give you some real world feedback on it.
