Recoder has Gone!

I have just installed Nero 6.6.0.16 and now Recoder has vanished! As soon as I select it from the main menu, the menu reduces to the task bar and then reappears with no sub menus or any thing else. Most other items seem to work OK. Any ideas? Also the volume on MPEG4 files on my previous version of Nero 6 was very low. Has this been rectified on version 6.6.0.16?
