DVD+R write error with NERO

Hi guys..
i am having trouble burning DVD+R with this drive.. regardless which brand of DVD+R. used. imation.. NEC.. or HP..
funny thing is sometimes it work.. sometimes it doesnt..
eg like maybe in every 3 disc burned.. only one shows a 100% completion.. others will stuck like at 2% or 3 %.. i m getting so frustrated with this.. already spent me like a 20 spoilted DVDs!

is this got to do with the DMA thingy? i read a tutorial http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking%20DMA.pdf on how to turn it on but the last step is confusing.. it says "Unistall both controllers" .. which one should i unistall? Secondary IDE Chanel and VIA bus master controller altogether?

You have a VIA motherboard, you might need to reinstall your Motherboard drivers to get DMA on !
OR uninstall and use generic windows generic drivers ! ?

I would not burn those faster than 2x !!!
When having burning issues, I always burn at the lowest speed and use DVD-RW / DVD+RW media, so I don't make 50 coasters :)
