Hi.
Iam trying to make some mp3 of "busted stuff", from a copy of the original CD.
My copy its 100% ok , done with CloneCD and the cd its not scratched or nothing , it plays really nice.
But when i try to make mp3s it goes wrong on track 4 and 5, and the rest its ok.
This is what i get on the log file:

Suspicious position 0:05:51
Missing samples
Peak level 0.0 %
Track quality 99.6 %
Copy finished
During the copy process, it tries to correct errors, even tho the cd its perfect.
When i play the mp3, it jumps on some parts,, like it there were scratches.

these are the option ive used :
EAC extraction logfile from 24. February 2003, 22:21 for CD
Dave Matthews Band / Busted Stuff

Used drive : LITE-ON LTR-12102C Adapter: 1 ID: 0
Read mode : Secure with C2, accurate stream, disable cache
Read offset correction : 0
Overread into Lead-In and Lead-Out : No

Used output format : Internal WAV Routines
44.100 Hz; 16 Bit; Stereo
Use compression offset : 2257

Other options :
Fill up missing offset samples with silence : Yes
Delete leading and trailing silent blocks : No
Installed external ASPI interface.

Somthing i should change to get better results ?

Thx .

regards

Disble C2, reduce ripping speed.

If EAC gives read retries (aka error correction) the the disc or your drive is not perfect.

Sometimes EAC just fails and then you can try CDEx (paranoia full mode) or Feurio!. They have sometimes performed well on tough cases.

AFAIK some Lite-On drives are identical to Plextor - I don't know about your drive. If it is like this you could use Plextor firmware for your drive and try Plextools.

Tigre,

That information is false. Lite-On and Plextor have no relation.
