PSP UMD Loading Problem

My lil bro's psp takes much longer than any other psp to load UMD discs. At first I thought that it would not load them at all, but I let it sit for a while, and the game eventually loaded. I was wondering if anyone else has had this same experience and if anyone could help me out with this problem.

Hmm.. Is it all games or just some games... I noticed that every psp i seem to touch has a really really long loading time with sports games let me know.
