i have a nokia 6585 that powers up , no message to enter code appears and i can get into menu, dial but it just takes me to service provider.(us cellular) i can get into master with the *3001#12345# deal but cant get the IMEI using *#06#. which is my main question since i can get into trhe phone that far, it doesnt seem to be locked. yet when i put my sim into it it will not get service. oh, i forgot, the phone is a:
Nokia 6585
IMEI unknown
us cellular
ive been reading everywhere that as long as u can unlock a simcard phone u can use any sp with it. so thats my dilemna. is this phone locked or can it never be used except with us cell? all the forums ive been to never mention us cellular, just cingular, t mobile, at&t, etc.
