Hi if i boght a 2GB memory stick how many dvd films could i put onto it. I know that i would have to encode them to m-peg, BUT HOW MANY COULD i fit onto the memory stick if they were encoded

best advice for you is to just keep converting movies with psp9 on to your 2gb mem card until it says no more memory than you should know hey and after you do that tell us how many you fit :)

To give you a general idea..a music video which is roughly about 2-3 minutes long on average, takes between 2-300 megs. Translate that to about 100 megs per minute, in decent high quality. Now, if you encode the video at a lower resolution, compress it more, lower quality, you can get more. Basically you will get 2-3 good quality movies on a 2 gig stick. If they are lower quality, you might get upwards to 8.

downloaded movies, somewhat okay quality, 2 and a half movie. full quality dvd rip, 1 movie.
