Incd or Nero Express? All I need this for is backing up my data onto a cd-rw disc when I reformat my hard drive. I heard you can lose data if you use Incd? So what would be my best choice?

Actually, for making a data cd, Nero Burning Rom should be better. Also, Incd is known to conflict with some other softwares, and people have recommended uninstalling it altogether.

I recently purchased a new computer so had to backup all my files from my old for transfer. I used Nero Burning Rom for the whole project. Managed to get my 11g's of music on 3 DVD disks using the create an MP3 disk feature. I never use InCD it can cause problems

Don't compare that horrible InCD to Nero Express [Nero]. Nero is 10 times better -- just "make sure" you don't have InCD installed to your computer along with Nero and you should be all square away.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

good suggestions there, though my favourite method is a bit old fashioned, i sometimes use norton ghost to clone the hard drive and put new drive in new pc and let windows redetect anything it needs to, or i mount up the old drive in new pc and copy all required data over.

however i do agree that InCD is horrid and to be avoided at all costs.

@creaky

I agree on mounting the old hard drive have done this a couple of times, this time with the two new SATA drives I just backed up the info and transferred, since you can use DVD disks for this you really don't need to use a lot, and you always have the files stored in case of HDD failure.

my 2-cents,
to back up my all my files i use external hard drives..as i quit years ago to use cd and dvd's.
got tired of a ton of cd and dvd's all over the place and looking for music or data files on them.

a smart move is to get a external..for back up...

Well, some of us,like me, can't afford an external HD. It's way too expensive for a good one. I hate rich people. I am poor, I live in a box. duh...J/K
