hello all. I have recently built a computer and it is up and running. Ive double checked all connections and i can get into the bios fine. I tried installing windows xp home on the hard drive and the first few times i partitioned 5 gb's of ntfs format for the OS. Every time it would say cant copy so and so file would you like to skip?. i thought it was the disk so i got my friends xp home disk and tried that. this time it said hdd is unusable (not in those words) and restarted. The final time i tried the install i used fat32 format instead of ntfs. it worked and is at the windows screen installing. Im wondering why it wouldnt use ntfs and if i can change it to ntfs once my os is loaded? my equipment should be in my sig. thanks for the help.
