DMA is not enabled on your burner. Go to control panel - system - hardware - device manager - IDE/ATAPI - right click on primary and secondary channels - select properties - advanced settings - then select DMA instead of PCI if thst is displayed. Then try burning again.

First, you need to edit out your Nero serial before somebody steal it from you. To edit, click on the little pencil & paper icon on your right hand side on the orange bar.

Nero is out of dated, it's 16 versions behind. Update to the latest of Nero 6 (6.6.0.16)

I couldn't find any burner that said HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA 4080N at forum.rpc1 at all. I only see the GWA4040N, may be you need to google on the net for a firmware update on your burner if yours [0C09] is not the current firmware. Go here for a look around http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php

One of your dvd-rom drive or a Toshiba drive DMA is OFF, it needs to be Enable or Available. If you're using XP, then try the following to "uninstall" the Toshiba driver. Once you restart your computer, windows will automatically install it for you.

((( To enable DMA back ON by "uninstalling" it's driver (the DVD-Rom or DVD burner drive) ?for Win XP users? )))

A) on "DESKTOP" right click on "MY COMPUTER", left click on "PROPERTIES"
B) left click on "HARDWARE", left click on "DEVICE MANAGER"
C) left click on +sign of DVD/CD-ROM Drives
D) double left click on your DVD burner or your DVD-Rom drive
E) left click on "DRIVER", left click on "UNINSTALL", you will see a "Warning: you are about to uninstall this device from your system", just click "OK", now "SHUTDOWN" or "restart" your computer
F) once you restart your computer, Windows should automatically detect your DVD burner?s drive and re-install it for you. That's it...easy as smoking!!

This is inferior when comparing to high quality media. Try other top notch media such as Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim and Maxell "Made In Japan." Yuden media is also the FUJI & SONY 8X DVD+R "Made In Japan."

Slowing it down to 4X, especially if you're not buring with high quality media. It is recommend by most experiences members to backup at 4X only.

how did you do ANYTHING the other guys suggested to do, your log file SHOWS that NOTHING has changed whatsoever, i would consider the good advice these guys are giving you and implementing them before you come back with the same question~ :)

also, another thing that REALLY stands out to me is this:
Quote:
Recorder: HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4080N, Media type: DVD+R
Disc Manufacturer ID: CMC MAG, Media Type ID: E01, Product revision number: 0
this is some of the WORST media out there, i would strongly suggest you using better media as this will cause a problem down the road...suggestions for Good Quality Media are in my sig.

@dakbatch

You're in good hand here. However, I must say this though; you've got all the seniors (Doc aka Kivory666, Discmania, alkohol [myself]), and including Creaky "a very keen Nero maestro" trying to help you out, but in order to solve your problem, you need to help yourself as well. With that being said, may be take a little consideration and follow what was mentioned? Below is what I see:

First of all and yes... seriously, you need to stop using CMC MAG (this is pure crap media) period. All your logs shows that CMC MAG still exist, try a new batch of high quality media i.e. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim and Maxell "Made In Japan" or Fuji and Sony "Made In Japan."

Your first log, didn't show that horrible InCD stuff, but the last 2 logs of yours shows that you've installed InCD on your computer.

Again, DMA is OFF here "DiskPeripheral : TOSHIBA MK8025GAS atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: Off" -- it needs to be on. Look at previous posted for troubleshoot.

And the rest, Creaky pretty much summed it all.

Also try upgrading your aspi layer. Go here and download aspi and install. This will not damage your system but will make sure your aspi layer is correct. Try burning again:-
