I recently bought a PSP with version 1.5 Firmware, and was wondering about the upgrading of the firmware. Before it is upgraded does it ask you if you want to or does it automatically do it? Also, what is the program that makes the system think it is a higher version that it really is? I seen it but now forgot it and can't find it back. Thanks all in advance.

well if u buy the new gta game for psp, it automatically updates. i updated mine becuz of movies. theres somet types of video u cant watch which i forgot with old firmware but u could with 2.0, if u want to have emulators on ur psp, dont update. if u want movies and internet, then update.

Find the thread that I made called need help get it here by jayquik03 and you can find me and get the program called noupdate or you can search it on google. This program will let you insert a umd then run this program to get around the auto update feature on newer psp games :) good luck
