i'm staying with 6.6.0.16, flawless for my needs which are/data cd's, and 'dvd-video' compilation burns ie where the dvd's have been prepared via DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter etc, nothing in 7.x can improve something that works perfectly for me.

Under version 6 of Recode the Merging Titles facilty (under Remake A DVD) never worked. Nero acknowledged it a problem right from the release of version 6 but had not provided a fix despite many requests. Now the developers advised me that this issue will be fixed in version 7. A trial version will be up on their home page in a few days to try out. I guess it is a matter of how important this facility is when comparing version 6.14 with 7. To me it is very important otherwise all titles I join have a 2 or 3 second pause which is very inprofessional or annyoying.
Good news for those who like this facility but pity they didn't cater for the version 6 users and included a fix in their last updates of version 6 instead of having to fork out more money for what should have been working properly in version 6. Not sure of any other advantage of version 6 over 7 yet other than this so far.

I'm happy with 6.6.0.16 at the moment. However, I may try Nero 7 someday in the near future once Nero 7 is all fixed.

Fair enough, but I wonder what the differences are with Version 7 as compared to version 6? Surely they would not bring out a new version with very minimal differences.Has Nero put out any such comparison or does anyone here know of any or all??

LOL... And why wouldn't they if it sold? It's about $$$ above all else. Version 6 is great for me. Maybe 6 months to a year from now, I will upgrade to Version 7 when the bugs are worked out, and there have been significant improvements over Version 6...

Nero 7 Ultra Edition has been available for sale in the US for a least a week, and now a demo's available: http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/nero7-up.php
So instead of speculation, now asking for opinions on the enhancements/changes
from Nero 6 ultra edition; what do you think? Changes you like? Don't like?
(people who have actually used it only please; though actual users may not have to come to afterdawn, if they are happy with the functionality and don't need help...)
Also, does anyone have any details on the rumored replacement of H.264/MPEG-4 Advanced Video Coding (AVC) from nero 6 to nero 7?
