Is it possible to get internet access without a umd and without upgrading firmware?

Is it possible to just use the iso of wipeout pure, or the other one, i forget the name of the new one they figured out.

It should be possible to use the iso to get on the net as the iso replicates the psp game in every way. BUT i am pretty sure that you have to downgrade your firmwire to 1.5 or below.
