Depends on what you wish to do. there is a v2.0 Eboot Loader avalible. It's able to run a number of Emulators and LUA Applications. So there's that. If you wish to run Fastloader (i.e. Leagly owned Backups), You'll need to downgrade to v1.50.

Will it void your Warrantee? Well if everything goes well then I would not think so as the v1.50 Firmware is just as much S0NY's Code as is the v2.50 Code. But, as for the risks involved yeah it's all on you!

You need to find the MPH Downgrader Try Google and the v1.50 Firmware. Try looking HERE:http://www.psphacks.net/files/PSPFirmwares/

The MPH Downgrader has Three File in it. The 'index.dat', 'h.bin' and 'overflow.tif' the last File has been condemed by a certain AV Corp as beeing a Dangerus Virus! It's utter BS! Yes you need to watch out there are a number of Turd Burglers out there that mave missused this techneque to 'Brick PSP' in recent Days.

But the idea is that both the 'index.dat' and the 'h.bin' Files are to be copied to the Root Directory of your MemoryStick. While the 'overflow.tif' File gets copied over to the PSP/PHOTO Directory. The v1.50 Firmware Update 'Eboot.pbp' gets copied to the PSP/UPDATE Folder.

You can then run the 'overflow.tif' File by accessing the Photo Section on the Dashboard. this should cause some lines of Text to appear on your PSP. This also has the side effect of locking up the PSP! Press up on the Power Switch and HOLD IT! Till it reboots!

Now you should be able to run the update to v1.50 on the PSP! It'll hang again at 99% (or possibly crash with an (fffffffff) Error. Just like before press up on the Power Switch and HOLD IT! Till it Reboots.

Now you should see another Screen Press '0' to Exit the Screen. The PSP should shut off. (It might reboot ICNR), anyways turn the PSP bacn on and....

Welcome to PSP v1.50!!!
