So, I got my fresh new copy of GTA LCS, and it says to update to 2.00. I used the downgrader to get version 1.5 on there, and it worked fine.
So, I want to play GTA, and then I got to update to version 2.00 again. However, the problem occurs when I try and update. The little update program loads, but there are no words. It just has an X and O at the bottom...
I've tried the update from the GTA UMD disk, then one from the internet, then the 2.50 update. They all do the same thing.
Does anyone know what's up with my PSP?

you have to make sure that the PSP is plugged into the wall when you update. It wants to make sure that the battery won't die as it's flashing the bios otherwise you get what we like to call a brick. lol

I plugged it in, but the screen was still blank. However, I got lucky searching google, (it was the very last result, lol) and found that if you restore the default settings, the words will show up again.
