I can't download the tiny torrent files from any site!

The download won't start or it stops within a few kb of the file. I've tried both firefox and explorer.

Any suggestions?

Much appreciated,

Thanks

Thanks for your message, but it's the small torrent file itself, I can't download with either FireFox or explorer.

As KCC said, do you have a torrent client installed?

What site are you trying to get these files from?

Do you have pop up removers like Ad-Block enabled?

Sure, I use Azureus, but it works fine as long as get someone else to download the torrent-files and email them to me.

I can't download them from any torrent-site - including:
http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-browse.php
http://www.rustradio.org/tracker/
http://bt.dylantree.com/index.php
http://bt.etree.org/index.php?page=0

And lots of others...

Pop-up blocker is not blocking the downloads. I right-click and save as - Some of them will start after a long waiting time and download a few kb and then stall.

I'm having the same problem, VERY weird. Apparently some other people are having this issue too. It's not only that the client/tracker program isn't working-- the browser (Firefox, IE) can't download any .torrent files! What the hell? It's really awful-- can anyone help?

Try left clicking, my friend. They're regular hyperlinks on 98.6% of the sites.

Choose to OPEN when your client is running, OR SAVE to a folder, then open with the client.

I think the problem is more complicated than that, though I appreciate your input. Left-clicking works as well as right-clicking, ie. not at all.

Okay. The problem is that my school is blocking torrents. Thanks to everyone who tried to figure it out.

I think that if you change the port to 80 on the bittorrent program and try downloading a torrent then it should work. I think this should work for any program. I tried it on Azureus and it was fine.
