I read that you cannot play Liberty City Stories on the psp if you have firmware V1.5, at http://www.psp-hacks.com/.
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas how to overcome this apart from upgrading so it is playable of he memory card without removing the movies.

Just wait a little while. There should be something that allows you to play it on your 1.5 shortly.

I hope so, i got a version changer and im running my psp version 7.50, but the firmware is 1.50 i wanna play GTA, ive got a 1gb card so hopefully there will be a ripkit released and a way 2 play it on the 1.50

Please don`t qoute me on this but it is my understanding that gta is done in AVC format which the 1.5 or 2.0 doesn`t support so it may not be as simple as a version emulator.
If you can get a 1.5 to support AVC then you might be in business.
That`s just my understanding so far so If I`ve got it wrong please correct me because I`d like to know for sure also.

but 2.00 has got the codec...so u don't need 2.5...we just have to wait for the firmware launcher...to support these versions...they're working on this!
So stupid!!!I HAD A JAPANESE 1.5 PSP..PERFECT!
AND I UPDATED IT TO 2.00!!!!!
BUT NOW...2.00 EXPLOIT SAVED ME!THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOSHI AND OTHERS!!!WELCOME HOMEBREWS!!!!
DO NOT UPDATE TO 2.01!!!!!!!!!!!

You can downgrade from the 2.0 that is needed to play GTA so why wait for something else??? Just enjoy the game and downgrade whenever you need.

so what ur saying is upgrade the psp to version 2.0 to play GTA and then when ur done revert back to play homebrew

easy just upgrade to v 2.00 and then put wab changer on ya psp it downgrades ya psp but the psp thinks its still a b 2.00 when its really a 1.5
I have all consoles and Hand held consoles from 1988 to 2007.

ahhh i see well i shouldnt have a problem then, but i need a ripkit of some sort because it wont fit on my 1gig card..n e 1 got n e idea's

i have an iso image of the new GTA on my hard drive, if i put this on my memory stick are you people saying that it wont work because i have v1.50

That's was the correct answer. There IS NO WAY YOU CAN CURRENTLY PLAY THIS GAME AS AN ISO. As the v2.0 Firmware DOES NOT SUPPORT .ISO LOADERS! And Firmware Changes such as those offerd by WAB & SXT (Yoshi-whos'it's), WILL ALSO FAIL TO WORK! As those Program(s) / Firmwares DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER SOFTWARE TO RUN THE .ISO IN THE FIRST PLACE.
A reall Catch-22, to be sure!!

Well that's the problem no one but, S0NY would know 100% what you'll need to do. But, if the Euro. release is anything like the NA One, then no. PSP v2.0 will work.
Having just updated back to v2.0 myself (wanted to fuxx around with the Broswer and Desktop Settings. I have to say I really do like v2.0 better! Shame that there really is no reall Homebrew Scene around this Firmware yet.
