I have been downloading music videos and burning them to VCD/DVD. My problem is when I pay them back they will skip and jump about 5 sec. Not in the same place each time. It does this once or twice every couple songs I have used Nero full version,Roxio 7 full version and Sonic full version. I have done DVD and VCD. For the most part VCD is working better but still has problems. Both DVD and CD are Sony brand. I have tried other brands but have not note set a deference. I am playing them back in a Jensen in dash car DVD player. But it is not movement that is causing the problem they will skip with out the engine running. It plays store bought CD's and DVD just fine. It only has problems with the disks I do. Does any one have an hints I my use to fix this problem. Thanks Andy

What kind of media are you using to make your burns and at what speed are you burning?

Don't burn faster than 4x.
Don't use Memorex media.

Tell us something about your system/process so that we can answer without guessing.

Get back to us.

It could be the media, or your player doesnt play burnt discs. try to get one of your buddies to burn u a dvd and see if theirs works and if it does not that its either your media or possibly your burner.

Hi there,

Always FINALIZE your CD and DVD Media so your players can play them in the living room !

I've got your fix.

I have the same indash player.

When I create a 8x or 16x DVD with a Sony "IDE" 4x burner it works perfect.

When I create a 8x or 16x DVD with either of my new 16x USB burners they play choppy or the player says eject disk.

I can take the 8x or 16x media and burn it in the IDE burner and they play perfect everytime. But the same media burnt in a USB doesn't work indash or with any of my standalones. See my post for more details.

Not sure why this happened when the 8-16x media came out. But I've narrowed it down to USB burners.
