Can anyone help?

I have a son who is learning to play the drums. His teacher has instructed him as part of his practice to play along to different songs.

Question: Currently have NERO software and have investigated burning some music for him.E.g.: Copy of original song (so he can get an idea of drumming implmented) and then a copy of same song with Drums removed (So he can then attempt to fill the drummers role).

In the Audio Track Info there is a Filter Option (BASS Cut), but to be honest, the best it does is dull the sound rather than remove it. I have attempted to utilize the Equalizer but am unable to acquire the right effect. In Karaoke you can get rid of the vocals, why not the Bass totally?

Is there any possibility at all?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
