please help me styll, im having alot of trouble upgrading my version 1.51 to 2.00, no matter how hard i try. im upgrading it so i can then downgrade it 1.5. does anybody noe any solutions? please i really need the help

upgrading should be the simple part. put the 2.0 eboot file on your memory stick in the PSP\UPDATE folder, go to your memory stick on the psp screen and there will be an update option. then follow the instructions.

go to http://www.psp-hacks.com then to the downloads section and download the 2.0 update.
after you have that make sure your 2.00 in other words eboot file is in a folder called UPDATE then put the UPDATE folder into the psp game folder.
now with your psp go to the game folder and click on the update
to upgrade charge your psp 50% or more and leave the charger pluged in then update
if you need help downgrading tell me?

see thats the thing, ive been doing that all this time, im not like THAT computer retarded, im just having problems....like when im in the game section i see this thing called psp 1.50 version update, so i click on that , after i have already put eboot.pbp in the update folder, and i still have a lot of trouble, it just tells me that i already have the latest version and that theres no need to upgrade or sum crap like that, its startin to get me mad, i might just play games the LEGAL way :( if i cant get this working....you know for the eboot file right? is there any specific name i should change the filename to? because at the playstation site it tells me to change the filename to "EBOOT.PBP" and i always do that, and nevertheless it doesnt work. and am i supposed to unzip the file first then put it in the update folder? or maybe am i supposed to change the program that the file is supposed to be opened with so my psp program can open it?????????im so lost, maybe im gettin a little too technical and its supposed 2 be easier then that, but iono, im having alot of trouble, and ive tried updating the psp with everysingle computer in my house

if you have v1.51 then you cant just update to 1.5 you need 2.0 dont update to 2.1 or 2.5 you need 2.0 firmware you can get it at http://www.psp-hacks.com in the download section there you can also find downgrader and 1.5 update file if you dont have it. here use this:
No one can be held resposible for your actions! If you brick your psp it is your fualt, this is a warning! you can and might brick your psp!
First off you will need the proper things to do this.
1.You will need a psp with v2.0 firmware (if you have v1.51 or 1.52 sorry but you will have to upgrade to 2.0).
2. You will need to have downloaded the (MPHDowngrader)you can find this rather easy if you know where to look.
3. You will need to download the v1.5 UPDATE (EBOOT.PBP. this is around 13mb. this also is rather easy to find.
4. You will need some way of puting these files onto the psp.(USB is probobly the most easy and best way to go.
If you cannot find these files i can send you a link where to get them. just send me a private message.
By now these are the files you should all have (mph downgrader with h.bin file,index.dat file, downgrader.txt file,and overflow.tif file these will be within the mph downgrader file, and you also should have thev1.5 EBOOT.PBP file.
Lets get started with the easy process
5.Connect the psp to the computer using what ever you use to connect the psp to the computer.
6.Make a folder named UPDATE with all capital letters in the games folder. It should look like this (psp\games\UPDATE\
7. put the (EBOOT.PBP) file into the UPDATE folder. It should look like this (psp\games\UPDATE\EBOOT.PBP).
8. put the file called (overflow.tif) into the photo folder. It should look like this (psp\photo\overflow.tif).
9. put the two files called (h.bin and index.dat) into the memory stick root. For the people who dont understand where to put them it is when you first connect the psp to USB then go to my computer and open it put the files right there in the first window.
10. After you have all the files on the psp go to the PHOTO icon on the psp and click x, A black screen with some letters or numbers will come up, let your psp sit there for 30 seconds to 1 min then reboot (You will have to hold the the switch for a little bit but it will turn off).
11. Now its time to go to system settings on the psp and then system information and see that it says 1.0 or 1.50 mine said 1.0.
12. Now go to the games icon and go to the update and click it. it should come up like it did when updating the psp, just follow the instructions. when it starts downloading it will go smooth untill you get to 99% done and an error will come up. don't worry its ok just turn off your psp buy holding the switch for a while, then turning it back on.
This time when it boots it will say a lot, another error but no worries just press O , it should reboot and then you set up all your settings just like you did when you first got your psp.
Now your psp should be a v1.5 if not i dont know what u did wrong. !!HAVE FUN!! THIS WAS WELL WORTH IT THANK YOU guys that made this downgrade
PlEASE Tell me if this tutorial helped you in anyway! Thanks to all the people who made the downgrade and posted it on the internet to get. This whole process if rather nerve recking because you are not sure if your psp will take the downgrade.

THANKS, it finally worked, the tutorial helped alot. thanks styll, what are iso's? and my friend gave me the save data of the marvel imperfects homebrew or something, but i lost it, do you noe where 2 get it? and do you guys noe any good homebrew games? i have a 512mb card

I am getting a Trojan notification from Norton whenever I try unzipping MPHDowngrader.zip. Here is the error message.

i got a real prob i bought gta lsc knowing that i need to update. heres the prob i run the psp update for 2.0 it goes to the white psp screen then back to the menu background but the only thing there is the X and O buttons on the bottom of the screen and nothing else. has anybody heard of this or have a fix for it.
i used the downgrader to downgrade once could this be a glitch in the mph downgrader program that wont let me upgrade?? any help would be appreciated

atra79, no worriez, its not a virus, just the virus scanner ALWAYS says it is, ask anyone, its 100% safe, it isnt a virus, i thought the same thing
