I just flashed my plextor740a from a 1.0 to a 1.1. Everything seems to be working ok. I have burned atleast 5 movies and 3 ps2 games. I got 1 coaster and it is because i burned a CMCMAG (phillips)DVD. Although, I noticed my PC recognizes it as a Plextor DVDR isnt it suppose to say DVDRW. does it even matter or does it mean i wont be able to burn dvdrw discs. I dont have dvdrws to run a test but has anybody encountered a similar problem? If so please reply. THANKS to all that do reply.

I'm sure that's just the name they used. Since all burners now are dual format double layer burners, there really isn't a need to place every descripter in the name. I'm sure if you use Nero Info Tool or DVD Identifier or DVD Info Pro they will all indicate +R +RW -R -RW as well as DL capabilities.
