This is exactly the gadget I am looking for if it does what it says it does. www.boostaroo.com

I've been getting great sound from my laptop, and even from my TV/DVD player, but no amps, volume is just not loud enough when using headsets.
I've resorted to ear buds because they can be stuck in y dang ear, and thus, must be louder. Sound quality? Lost thru ear buds. Loud distortion is what I wound up with. I tried amped head phones, the most expensive PCMIA sound card, Nothing worked.

Anybody even heard of this device? It's just called the boostaroo.

It's only 30 bucks, thought I's give it a go, unless somebody tells me otherwise.
