Ok if you on PSP v2.0 Firmware, you'll need to download the MPH Downgrader and properly install it to your PSP. If you have Norton (or some other AV Software instlled you're going to have to kill it temporaraly! In order to copy the 'overflow.tif' File to your x:\PSP\PHOTO Directory. The other Two Files 'index.bin' & 'h.bin' will land up on the Root Directory along side the PSP and MEMSTIC.IND Folder / File(s).
Then you can run the Exploit from the Photo Menu on the Cross Media Bar. (i.e. The Dashboard),. This will cause your PSP to freez up. Just reset your PSP. Now it will misread the Version Number as v1.0, this is only good for updateing upto v1.50! As you may have notice the PSP is still very much a v2.0.
I think you may have to kill your Wallpaper first but, I could be worng, though. As far as 'updateing' to v1.5 goes. You'll need to make another 'UPDATE' Folder in your x:\PSP\GAME Folder. The v1.5 Firmware is 16Mb so ya might wanna check that!
If everything is ok and it should be! you should have no problems starting the Downgrade Umm. Updater. You do have your Charger set up though right? As you can not install any Firmware beit New or Old without your trusty Charger! Given that the only Error you should come accross is at 99% (fffffffff) 'Please contact S0NY Tech., Support. At which point you'll need to reset your PSP agagin.
Now you'll have a Blue Screen telling you that your Cross Media Bar Settings are corrupted and to 'press th 'O Button', to reset your PSP. Reset your settings and enjoy your newesd PSP v1.50!!
