Guys
Has anyone come across a problem similar to this : just bought a Benq DW1640 - no problems at all burning DVD-R or DVD+R DVD5 DVDs, but have now coastered 6 Verbatim DL DVDs ($$$$) - have had no successful burns.
Am using DVDDecrypter to create an ISO image to HDD from source DVD and then again to write the ISO (*.MDS) to DL disc. Every time I get a Write Error - the sector varies each time, but the error is the same. Am using best quality blanks (Verbatim Datalife), and have the latest firmware installed.
Using the BENQ QScan tool to check the DVD gives some pretty bad Tracking Errors - average 15 for first layer then 25 for second layer - this explains the write errors, but then I thought Verbatim DLs were the way to go. Perhaps it's a burner issue?
Thoughts anyone?
