Unable to capture 'part' of DV tape

Can anyone explain to me why I can capture the first five minutes of a DV tape successfully using NVE3 but not the rest of the tape?

After five minutes into the tape if I try to start and capture more of the tape with NVE3 (using the dvd template/mpeg2) I get a 'buffer to hd' message beside the captured frames I do not get at any other time with any other tape, or the first five minutes of this tape? When I press the stop button to stop capture the DV Camera plays on and then I get a progess bar saying 'Processing buffered information' and then NVE3 hangs. Again, this doesn't happen when I capture with other tapes or the beginning of this one.

Any help would be appreciated.
