Hi,

I'm waiting for my 1GB stick to arrive, so I thought in the meantime I'd get some videos ready for my psp. I have one file that has an "m4v" extension, and from looking around, it looks like that is the extension commonly associated with iTunes movies. However, I am very sure that this file did not come from iTunes. Will the psp play it if I name it right (M4V00001) but with an m4v extension? If not, can you simply change the extension, or do I need to convert it?

If is not a mp4 you cant just rename it but theres a few programs that convert movie files to mp4 try to get 1 of them.

Actually, PSP plays movies with filename M4VM0001.MP4, M4VM0002.MP4 and so on...

If you are using Windows XP, try checking out the codec needed to open the movie by checking the properties of that movie.

The codecs of a PSP are H.264 and MPEG 4, so, convert the movies to one of the formats(just I have said) to make sure that they'll work on your PSP... ...
