Ok so I just got my psp, its a version 1.5 and still a noob in psp stuff. I DL'd homebrew. I actually bought GTA: Liberty City. Now how do I actually play this. I heard it requires 2.0 but that a program called wab changer will fake your firwamre so it thinks its psp.

So does PSP have internal memory or is all this done via memory cards?
I put my psp in usb mode windows found it but homebrew doesn't recognize it.

so basically I wanna keep my version 1.5 but play this game. I know its possible I just don't know what i have to do. Please help...

It's not possible to have 1.5 firmware and play GTA at this particualr moment. The reason is because 2.0 firmware has specific codecs that GTA needs to run. I'm pretty sure it's being worked on though and the problem will more than likely be solved eventually. There are version changers that work on other games where you can have 1.5 firmware and use the program to fake you PSP into thinking it has a higher firmware to play the game. All this is done on the Sony memory card you put in your PSP.

As for you saying the homebrew doesn't recognize the PSP I think you may be talking about getting an error message when you run it, right? All home brew should have 2 folders. Each will have an EBOOT file. Sometimes you'll download a homebrew program that just has one folder and EBOOT. They won't run like that. You have to download a program called Kxploit or Sei PSP Tool which does the same thing. Then if you look at the top of this forum there's a guide on running homebrew and it shows you how to install the NesterJ NES emulator. Follow the same instructions with any homebrew application you download that doesn't already have 2 EBOOT files. You can download all the files mentioned at www.psp-hacks.com
