OK... so i woke up this morning, and found that my computer was making an aweful noise. After some investigation, it turned out to be the fan on my GPU! I decided to take it out, and give it a bit of a clean, as there was quiet a bit of dust sitting in there.
This only made the noise louder and more irritating.... being frustrated, i wiggled the GPU, to see if it was losely connected to the AGP slot, but with the luck im having today, i pulled some of the graphics card out of the AGP slot causing a "no signal" error message to appear on screen.
I have now tried two other working GPU's in my PC but i keep getting the same error "no signal", and am startung to think that i have damaged my MOBO :(

Could anyone give me any advice on how to rectify this issues (if it is fixable) or specify details on what it is exactly that i have done wrong, or blown... Thanks

try a pci video card as might have damaged the agp slot physically if not electrically.

"Wiggling" an AGP card in a running computer is not a good idea, to say the least. If the GPU is disconnected and reconnected (which is not unlikely in this scenario) then you may indeed have damaged your mobo...

As a rule of thumb, never wiggle any card in a socket when the PC is on, or for that matter at all. But since you have, if you've got an Integrated graphics unit on your motherboard or a PCI GPU, try those.

Happens, but if it goes wrong again, dig out this thread...
