Strange Flicker from converted Movies..?

Hey, I've downloaded a few ratDVD converted movies, decoded them and burned them. Usually my movies work well but lately when I play them on my DVD player they seem to flicker very quickly..
If anyone has any advice or comments, they would be greatly appreciated.
