Ok some of you still don't seem to get it. So I try to spell it out for ya's ok!
Q: I just bought a PSP and I want to use it On-Line how can I do this.
A: Buy a Wireless (802.11a,b or g), Router, RTFM on how to hook this up to your Cable / xDSL Line, and your PC. Futhermore RTFM on how to configure your new Wireless Router though a Web Browser (i.e. over a TCP/IP Connection: e.g. 192.168.x.x),. To set your PPPoE, DHCP or Static IP Address Settings. You should also be able to set your SSID Tag as well. It's usualy WLAN by default.
One of the things that you should atleast attempt to congure is the WEP or WPA Encription Settings so that you don't broadcast your Bandwidth out to just anybody. The Key you generate here, will be the same Key that you'll need to install on every Wireless Adapter includeing the PSP? in order to connect to the Router.
As for the PSP? side of it choose the Easy Option and then test the Connection from the Settings -> Network Settings on your PSP?.
If you have PSP Firmware v2.0 (or higher!), installed on your PSP. Then you'll already have a Browser that's much better then anything that you'll find on the v1.50. Seeing as the v1.0 only supports .jpg's and .png's
If you're all for the Homebrew then the best Browser (from loading times), is the Tenchi Browser. The trick here is to keep pressing the Select Button to change the Hirogana into Romanji (i.e. Latan Script), so you can eventualy type in an Adress into the Google Bar.
The Wipeout (and I'm also guessing here), the Fired Up Browsers will require you to have Fasloader (or other ISO Loader), installed on your Memorystick. Loading Wipeout Pure Browser is a PITA! compairded with the Tenchi Browser. But, given that support for other Picture File Types (e.g. .tif's for example), are simply not avalible on the v1.50 at this time!
Q: Can I use my current Wired i.e. 802.3 Setup?
A: NO! You must have, (i.e. shell out for),a 802.11a,b or g Wireless Router!
Q: Will the ISP charge me more for wanting to connect my PSP to the Internet?
A: Depends on how cheap (i.e. low), your ISP is. In such instances it's best not to ask your ISP for such Info, as they're, there to sell as many Lines as they can.
Q: Ok then what?
A: Normaly your Router should have a DHCP Service installed. With this setting properly configured you should have a pretty decent ICS (Internet Connection Shareing) setup. The problem(s), you might exprerance is if you try to connect more the One PC onto that Network, and then the PSP aswell. Don't expect to download GTA:LCS off emule and play it On-Line at the same time if all ya have is a 768~1000/128 xDSL Line. As that's what ISC does it allows you to connect more Computers upto the same Network (i.e. the PC with the Internet Connection. Which must always be ON!)
A Router with a properly configured PPPoE Setting will acomplish the same thing. But, without the need of the Inernet Connedted PC to allways be On-Line.
