I checked out Compaq's site. Here is what it said about my memory:

Standard Configurable Types

266 MHz PC2100 DDR

Configurable Memory Modules

128, 256, 512 (2x256), 1.0 (2x512) GB

Max Capability:

1 GB

Total DIMMs

Two

Total DIMMs Open

One if 128, 256, or 512 used

Incompatibilities Known

None

So basically I can't go any higher than 1GB and if I go for that I have to go with two 512 sticks?

check your mobo manual to see if it compatible with PC2700 or higher.

There's lots of sites on the net that sell memory and have a database for most computers that tell what type of modules you can use. Here's one for Kingston memory, you don't have to use Kingston, but you can use the site to find out what you need.

When I search on NewEgg for what I need I get this only match...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820141218

It seems that the people that HAVE bought this like it. But it sounds to good to be true to get 1GB for less than $100. Does anyone have any expierience with pqi?

i bought these RAM sticks not long ago from newegg.com:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440

Plug n Play! noticed the difference in a quickness and haven't had any problems. Prices dropped :@

Your comp should work with a PC3200 but it will only run at PC2100..aslo, check if your mobo is a 184-Pin

and hmmm.. your max is 1GB or 512MBx2 altogether but it's better if you get a 512MBx2 instead of a 1GB stick so you can in dual channel..
