I wanted to burn Star Wars 3 from files in a folder to a Verbatim dvd+r dl. I opened Recode (the latest version) and it recoded the movie just fine. The problem was, on the burn settings page where it had burn speed, it said maximum and it was greyed out, so I could't set it to 2.4x. It burned the movie at 6x. Why would the burn speed have been greyed out?

i7-920 @ 3.8, Asus P6T, Corsair H50 cooler, 6 Gb ddr3-1600, pny 9800 GT, Liteon iHDS 118 dvd-rom, Liteon iHAS 220 burner, OCZ 700 watt Mod X Stream psu, 500 Gb WD hd

Just a couple of things....

Recode won't let you set a burn speed if you change the target size above 4458 MB.... At least my Recode was doing this.

I tried 4459 MB and the burn speed greyed out. It came on when I set the size to 4458 MB or lower. Changing it to DVD-5 also turned it back on.

One more thing...

You must have the blank DVD in the burner and spun up before going to the burn settings page.
