First off: Please edit out your Nero serial number, starts with 1A20-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

2nd: Copying on the fly is riskier. Seeing as someone else made those backups, they probably contain many errors on them, making them difficult to rip on the fly. Try downloading to your hard drive with DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink.

DVD Decrypter would be better,it's more aggressive on damaged/problematic discs. Use the Mode ISO read to hard drive-note where those files go and click burn/harddrive icon. Then Mode ISO write/locate that mds file and click the burn/harddrive icon.Set the speed for 4x!

Third:

Memory in use : 79 %
Turn off all background programs. This will free up some valuable memory.Turn off Sreen saver/antivirus/no internet/and anything else that may run during the dvd backup process.

Use Nero infotool and find the MID codes of both that disc you are trying to rip and the discs you are burning them on and let us know what those MID codes are.

Is your burner exteranl? If not then you have it installed wrong.

Yeah like saugmon said edit out that serial number before someone steals it.

Thanks for info will try what is suggested--burner is external--also tried loadng to harddrive using suggested program, but would get to 86% on one and would stop--the other got to 36% completion and stopped. These guys made the dvd from original broadcast, so I would hope they knew what they were doing. Will try your suggestions and get back--thanks again
