i was recently cleaning my ps2s interior when by mistake i broke the ps2 wire that connects the fan to the motherboard. now the ps2 turns on and everything but the fan doesnt now my Question is does it affect the ps2 in anyway thanks

Well it can overheat without the fan. The PS2 may shut off abruptly in the middle of a game. You should definitely fix it or take it to someone who can.

i agree, and if you play it before you fix it i suggest that
you take a small house fan like this

you take a small oscillating house fan
set so it does not oscillate and point it right at the
vents in the PS2 so you get really good air flow through it. This
will really help keep it cool.
