I now have 20 or more successful backups in place, but I am stuck on two older Disney movies, both will rip everything but the _4.VOB file, both get to about 80% on that file and die. Decrypter reports "failed to read sector - seek incomplete", could be coincedental media damage, but looking for advice. Using file mode on Decrypter with an Sony 500UL. Thanks.

Whenever I get problems with dvd decrypter I give smartripper a shot and vice versa.

What version dvd decrypter is it, is it latest version?

99% of the time this cures bad rips for me, smartripper available in the downloads section.

Other than that I would say the media could be dirty/damaged
