well i just downloaded the 2.50 update and i got as far as geting the update on the psp itself, but when i try to start the update it said "game could not be started". Its already in the memorystick but the psp wont update. any tips would be greatly appreaciated

The question is why would you want to update to v2.50 when all you're likely to need for the moment is v2.0. And more to the point why waste v2.0 which can be downgraded to play Unsigned Code (i.e. Homebrews), and install v2.01 or v2.5 which can not??

Basically you have to make a choice right now. Do you want to play homebrew such as emulators and homemade games, or do you not care about those? As of this moment you cannot play any homebrew applications on firmware higher than 1.5 and if you have 2.0 you can downgrade to 1.5 firmware. However, if you go with anything higher there is no chance of you being able to play homebrew. No one has found a way to crack 2.0 or how to downgrade anything higher than 2.0. Now there are talks of a mod chip and such, but nothing has been proven yet.

hey ive got a PSP and my bro got the DS and i like his DS alot the games may be "G4Y" but they are bloddy entertaining the mini games on mario 64DS are more fun than any PSP game i have ever played. i play his DS more than i play my PSP so dont say the DS is gay coz u obviously dunno what ur talking about

actually, i have both psp and nintendo ds. i also have ps2, xbox and etc, buh anywayz...DS IS GOD DAMN G4Y NO LIE, WASTE OF MEH DAMN MONEY.I coulda bought a couple of ounces wit dat....

Sure DS may have some bad games but so does the PSP. I'm waiting for Mario Kart DS as well as some other games that are coming out. The DS may not be as multi-functionable as the PSP but it isn't G4Y.
