is it possible to replace a laptop tft screen or does it need to be done by the manufacturer. how would i go about purchasing one and does anyone have any idea about the cost or the cost of manufacturer replacement. it's a packard bell and i live in the uk

You could do it yourself if you found the correct resorces on the net... But it will be Expensive! That is the most expensive part of a laptop... If you give HP a call and ask them how much it will be for a replacement, i bet you will start thinking of buying a new lappy : )
