Hi,

I've just joined up so apologies if this has already been covered. People seem to have had similar problems but have been easily fixed by doing the usual checks. I've been using Bit torrent and Azureus for over a year now with no problems. Ive just bought a new PC and have networked it with my old one which Im using as a media server to my XBOX (XBMC installed). My cable modem and router are in my living room with an ethernet cable running through to this room which is then split by an ethernet switch between the two PC's.

Since I've done this my downloads with Azureus have been abysmal. Now before I get loads of replies with the ususual checks and solutions, here's what I've got set up and what I've tried so far. (By the way the problem occurs on both PC's.)

Set up. Cable Modem (Motorola Surfboard 5200) - 10 meg connection.
Router - NETGear Cable/DSL Web Safe Router RP614v2.
Ethernet Switch (cheap and nasty 10/100mps)
Both machines are running XP and Zone Alarm Pro.

Ok here's what Ive tried already.
Two sets of port ranges are forwarded on the router. One for each PC IP address. Im using ranges 64000 - 65000 and 65001 - 65535. Ive done the same with the firewalls on both PC's. Azureus is NOT reporting a NAT error and my downloads are green. I've also got uPnP turned off in Azureus.

I've done broadband speed tests on both machines and I'm getting the connection speed that I should be. Windows Firewall is switched off and turning off Zonealarm makes no difference. I've tried different port ranges. No difference either. Ive tried turning off safepeer again no difference.

I can only assume that I must have something set up wrong or an option not checked within Azureus itself.

Any ideas?
