[bold]mIRC won't open automatically[/bold]

Before I reformatted my PC, mIRC would open automatically when using PacketNews or IRCSpy. Now when clicking the links, they open my browser. In the address box is "irc://irc.101-freedom.org/pluto" and it says "cannot find server".

I have mIRC installed and have enabled it in my firewall.

WinXP Pro
mIRC ver. 6.16 registered.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
