Buddy, file sharing isn't illegal in Canada. Downloading music from anywhere is legal if ya live up here.

It is true, downloading is fine in canada. But if you are using torrents and have to upload, you are risking it. If you want to be 110% safe, then download off a p2p network like limewire

You can turn off uploading on limewire. Just go into options, then sharing, and remove the folder in which you download your music from the sharing list. Now you won't share anything.
Also, unless you seed files on BitTorrent, then the chances of authorities caring, is like the chance of winning the lottery, very very very slim. Who cares about playing it safe. I've downloaded tons off of BitTorrent.

Umm, That's another story.....Well in excess of 11 000 people have been sued in the States for filesharing! Over Here in UK, we've only had 60!
If you are uncertain about anything, check the websites of the riaa & mpaa because they are the ones that will sue your ass if you get shopped.
RIAA.com/issues/piracy/default.asp" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.RIAA.com/issues/piracy/default.asp -The riaa
Note most of it is BS!
Also: Look at the comical propaganda
http://www.the-realworld.de (this used to be a torrent site)
Don't worry, though, you are 99.9999999 safe with a little common sense :)

No way, Limewire is brutal for downloading songs for mp3 players. BitTorrent is way better as I can get full albums quicker. I almost never use Limewire now.
