Hello there.

I'm burning a series on to DVD and would like to create a menu that does not have thumbnails from the individual episodes.

Here is a screenshot of one I burned using TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6:

This program works pretty well with three exceptions.

First, the sound is very loud. I have to turn my TV down to almost nothing to watch the resulting DVD, I don't recall seeing this with disks burned (by others) in Nero.

Second, it takes several steps to make a complete DVD (first creates the DVD file structure, then I have to tell it to create an ISO image, then you have to tell it to bun that to DVD).

Third, it always complains about the size, even though it can tell that I have a dual-layer disk in the drive (Nero 6 does this as well, but the demo version of 7 does not).

I'm willing to purchase Nero 7 if I need to, and probably will if I can make what I want. I really prefer the cleaner interface that I could get with TMPGEnc. I just prefer the ease of use that Nero offers.
