Been a lurker on this forum for some time. I enjoy the high quality of the discussions here. I've been backing up with DVD Decrypter for some time. As we know, some of the newer protection schemes cause Decrytper problems. I've found DVDFabDecrypter (the free version) to work in certain instances where DVD Decrypter failed. Has anyone noticed any differences in terms of quality between the two programs? I'm using DVDFabDecrypter exclusively now rather than switching between the two so I was just curious. Thanks.

Certainly DVDFab is being updated for the newer encryptions and works very well. Unlike decrypter though it does not have its own burner, so you must be using another burning program.

When I use DVDFab I still use decrypter to burn.

No complaints from me with either. Sometimes on tough rips DVDFab works where others won't.

yes dvdfabdecrypter is updated where dvddecrypter is not. however dvddecrypter is very versitile and u can set it where it lets AnyDVD remove protection. i use both about the same. if u do some research u will find there are ways to rip almost any thing (as longs as its a dvd) with dvddecrypter.

I find DVD Decrypter rips twice as fast as Fab and yes DVDD is no longer updated and needs occasional help from AnyDVD for such movies as Bewitched, it still has many features Fab does not. I have only used Fab a hand full of times but most of the time for some reason the rips were incompatible with DVD Rebuilder, DVD Shrink and InterVideo DVD Copy3. In Fabs defence all my expeirences with it were in the begining, there have been several updates since and I'm assumeing improvments along the way. At this moment, as an owner of AnyDVD, I see no reason to use anything else but DVDD. Of coarse if you didn't own AnyDVD your views might be different.

DVDFab is great for discs with both a wide screen and full screen version as you can just choose to rip one of them and have everything else fully functioning.

DVD Decrypter is still my favirite. I have had not problems with any movie including Bewitched. You can always download/create a PSL file or use IFO mode and IFOEdit for newer Sony movies.

I have DVDD, DVDFab Platinum, & AnyDVD along with suppliment programs like Shrink, CloneDVD2, Nero, etc..., and I still find DVDD to be the best.
